Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using YourLens, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the YourLens Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The early product

YourLens is an early-stage product provided for evaluation, feedback, and personal use. Features may be incomplete, experimental, unavailable, changed, or removed without notice. The service may experience errors, delays, data loss, inaccurate output, or interruptions.

We may limit enrollment, features, imports, processing volume, or access while we test and improve the product.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use YourLens. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

YourLens is not directed to children under 13. Do not provide information about a child under 13 through the service.

Your account and device access

You may save YourLens by associating it with an email address. Access may be provided through a private, one-time sign-in link. You are responsible for protecting your email account, devices, browser sessions, and sign-in links.

Your browser may remain signed in for up to 60 days, with that period refreshed when you return. Use Sign out when you no longer want that browser to retain access, particularly on a shared or public device.

You may not access another person’s Lens or account without their authorization. Notify us promptly if you believe someone has gained unauthorized access.

Information you provide

You retain ownership of information and content you submit. You give YourLens permission to host, copy, process, analyze, transform, and display that information as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, evaluate, and improve the service and provide features to you.

You represent that you have the right to provide the information you submit and that doing so does not violate law, contract, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or another person’s rights.

Do not submit passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers, highly sensitive medical information, or information you are not authorized to share.

Imported data

You may choose to import viewing or other activity data obtained from a third-party service. YourLens is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for that third-party service. You are responsible for obtaining and uploading the data lawfully and in accordance with any applicable third-party terms.

YourLens does not ask for your Netflix password or require you to provide third-party account credentials.

Recommendations and generated output

Profiles, interpretations, confidence descriptions, recommendations, explanations, and other generated output are estimates based on limited information. They may be incomplete, subjective, unavailable, outdated, or wrong.

YourLens does not guarantee that you will like a recommendation, that a title will remain available from a particular provider, or that generated language accurately describes you. You should use your own judgment and may correct or reject the service’s output.

YourLens does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, employment, relationship, or other professional advice.

Acceptable use

You may not use YourLens to:

• Violate any applicable law or another person’s rights.
• Upload malicious code, disrupt the service, probe security, or attempt to bypass access controls.
• Access, scrape, copy, or collect another user’s information without authorization.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your authorization to submit information.
• Use automated systems in a manner that unreasonably burdens or interferes with the service.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract non-public source code, models, prompts, or system instructions except where such a restriction is prohibited by law.

Feedback

You may provide suggestions, corrections, bug reports, or other feedback. You permit YourLens to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as its source without permission.

YourLens materials

The service, software, design, branding, organization, and other materials supplied by YourLens are owned by YourLens or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of YourLens technology, trademarks, or other intellectual property to you.

Third-party services and content

YourLens depends on third-party providers and may display third-party titles, images, availability information, links, or other content. Those providers and materials are governed by their own terms and policies.

YourLens does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, security, accuracy, or business practices.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using YourLens at any time. Signing out ends access on that browser but does not delete saved information.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address misuse, comply with law, manage the alpha, or discontinue the product.

You may request deletion of personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YourLens is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components, or that information or output will be preserved, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YourLens and the people involved in developing or operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, loss of goodwill, or service interruption arising from or related to the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability arising from or related to YourLens will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use YourLens during the preceding twelve months or one hundred U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless YourLens and the people involved in developing or operating it from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or information you submit without the required rights or authorization.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Maryland, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Changes to the service or Terms

We may update the service and these Terms as YourLens develops. The updated Terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.

Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.

General terms

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our permission.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and YourLens concerning the service unless we enter into a separate written agreement with you.
